Happy Saturday!
So last night I was suffering from some hardcore laziness – it’s not that I had writer’s block, it’s just that I couldn’t bring myself to actually sit down and write. For times like these, I have my crappy, mediocre art skills! I decided to sketch my characters out for fun and to get my brain going a little. Usually I stop there, but then I thought – I should color them in! In the past, I’ll pull out my color pencils for that, but I usually find that ruins the drawing. Unwilling to risk that this time around, I used an online tool (SumoPaint – check it out, it’s pretty cool for those of us that like to do this for fun but refuse to drop cash on Photoshop) to trace over/color in my sketches.
So for your viewing pleasure/displeasure according to your tastes, here are my sketches!
This is Adwin – the younger, sometimes more agreeable half of the twins. However, once he sets his mind to something, he’s impossible to dissuade.
And this is Saxon – the older, grumpier half of the twins. Although, he’s more reasonable than people give him credit for.
I very obviously have too much time on my hands that I should be using to write, but I just really, really wanted to draw them! Maybe one day other people will do my fanart for me 🙂

Mixing up creative activity always helps me deal with blocks. I feel like I’m still being creative while the subconscious gets time to deal with whatever the problem is without pressure.
