Happy weekend!
NaNoWriMo was rough this year – seriously. While I did pretty well at first, I don’t think I’ll be reaching the 50k mark. This has been one of the busiest Novembers I’ve ever had, all the way to the last minute. I’m hoping to get some writing in by the end of Sunday, and maybe I’ll reach the goal.
Either way, I do know one thing. The quality of my writing, at the very least, has definitely improved. I think I was so obsessed with the 50k mark last year, that most of what I wrote had to be scrapped completely. This year, I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to keep most if not all (in some shape way or form) of what I wrote. Weekly prompts for WOW555 have helped a ton (don’t forget to vote!), as well as getting as involved as I could with my region. I can’t wait for next year!
How was NaNoWriMo for you guys? Hope everyone had as much fun with it as I did.
As always, think happy thoughts!
Thanks so much for the shout out! Looks like we’re in about the same boat. I’m going home in the early morning and planning to sprint to the end. Let me know if you want to do any online sprints. I always seem to get more done when I write with friends!

Good to know I’m not alone 🙂 I wish I could do an online sprint -I just have no idea when I’ll find the time today to write (if I find it).

I hear ya! So far, getting to the writing part of the day has been more difficult than pulling dryer fuzz out of velcro. Hope you’re having better luck.

Even if you didn’t get to 50,000, any words you wrote are an accomplishment. Pat yourself on the back and give yourself a cookie (or your treat of choice.) It’s great that you can see improvement in your writing. I can definitely see improvement in mine from what I wrote last year, and I’d say that’s an accomplishment as well.
